First Robin of the Year

I saw my first robin a few minutes ago, scooting along the yard near the 9th Street curb. That's a nice way to start a day.

    Really? I've been seeing them for months. I was rather worried the little things would freeze.

    Maybe I haven't been paying attention. Wouldn't be the first time.

    Within an hour or two of writing this post, I saw three others: two guys and a gal. While the guys tussled, she ran away. That sort of thing happens - and not just with birds. ;)
